Respite Care

Respite Care for Parents of a child with disabilitesTake a much needed break through Noble’s Respite Care Services.

Sometimes parents and caregivers need a break from caring for their child with disabilities, so Noble’s Respite Care provides in-home care (ranging from a few hours to a planned vacation)
for individuals with disabilities.

Families who live in Marion County, Carmel and Fishers with funding through the Support Services Waiver, Developmental Disabilities Waiver and Autism Waiver are eligible for Respite Care.

Attendant Care is also available on a limited basis through CICOA funding. Respite Care is only for the qualifying family member; Noble cannot provide care for siblings of the family member.
Funding sources do not permit Respite Care while parents work.

Respite Care Providers are over 18 years old, have met state requirements, have a valid driver’s license and references, are trained in CPR and First Aid, and are committed to providing you with the break you need to recharge your batteries.

Families utilizing waiver or CICOA funding first complete some information, and then the individual’s waiver or CICOA case manager sends a plan of care and notice of action to our Respite Care Manager. She then sets up a home visit to get acquainted and complete additional paperwork. The process takes two weeks to a month.
