About Noble

Noble has been creating opportunities for people with disabilities since 1953.

Noble, Inc. (Noble of Indiana) was founded in 1953 by parents of children with developmental disabilities who ignored their doctors’ advice to put their children in institutions or shelter them at home. Realizing that their children had abilities and talents to share, they formed Noble School to offer what society would not: an education.

Over the years, the organization has evolved to meet the changing needs of the people we serve, ultimately becoming Noble of Indiana.

From four Central Indiana sites (Indianapolis East, Noble Industries, Broad Ripple, and Carmel) and one in Richmond, we now offer a wide variety of services, including early childhood intervention therapies for infants and toddlers; summer camps for youth; school-to-work transition services for teens; and community living residential services, behavioral therapies, day services, community
exploration, and employment services for adults. We serve approximately 1,500 individuals
with developmental disabilities each year.
